Why I'm Running To Remain As Circuit Judge For The 11th Judicial Court

The Court of Justice is the last great institution in which the ideas of equality and fairness are preserved for the citizenry, regardless of socio-economic status or station in life. The fair, equitable, and efficient delivery of justice is a bedrock principle of our functioning Republic and, since the founding of our Commonwealth, the Judges of the Court of Justice have been tasked with guaranteeing the promise of equality under the law for our society.

There is a reason that Lady Justice is depicted as wearing a blindfold.

The role of the Circuit Judge is to ensure that the administration of justice is guaranteed for all citizens, regardless of race, religion, nationality, sexual orientation or gender identity.

As the Circuit Judge, I strive every day to make sure that the courts are open and justice is fairly administered for the citizens of the 11th Circuit.

With your support, I will continue to do so as long as I am privileged enough to occupy the People’s Bench.

In my private law practice, I have had the great fortune to appear on behalf and represent clients in all levels of our court system.

As a prosecutor, I represented the interest of the Commonwealth. In handling the Juvenile Dependency,  Neglect and/or Abuse cases in district court. I was proud to give voice and seek justice for our community’s most vulnerable members.

In my private practice, I have spent almost equal time representing civil defendants and civil plaintiffs in cases ranging from $5,000 contract disputes, to multi-millon dollar personal injury claims.

I have tried dozens of cases to jury verdict in my career, and in doing so, I have gained perspective and insight into the qualities that I have brought to the judicial bench.
